This paper describes a new subspecies of Amphidromus palaceus (Mousson 1849b) from Nyalindung, West Java, Indonesia. Both have similar animal coloration andproduce dextral or sinistral shells. The shell the differs nominotypical A. by having pale-colored stripes marking resting stages, lack brown subsutural spots blotches and presence smoother sculpture, less recurved lip margin thicker white parietal callus.
